The Community Garden
This is the hub for lovers of gardening and nature in general. You’ll be responsible for planting, growing, and tending to vegetables, edible and medicinal plants, fruit trees, and/or bees. By getting your hands dirty, you’ll gain a deep understanding of each living thing and feel the relationships and connections between them in the garden.
There, you and your friends will learn to develop in-depth skills in market gardening, herbalism, arboriculture, and beekeeping.
The shared garden includes:
- 3 longitudinal crop strips
- 9 crop panels arranged in a mandala
- Two spirals of edible and medicinal plants
- An orchard with 37 fruit trees planted in 2020
- 2 greenhouses
- An apiary
VEGETABLE DRAWER
Our vegetable garden area features a stunning mandala made up of 9 planters, as well as 3 long beds, each 10 meters long.
We combine vegetables, flowers, and herbs that repel certain insects, and we don't use any pesticides. Our crops are 100% organic!
ORCHARD
Our orchard, which consists of half-standard fruit trees that can grow up to about 4 meters tall, is harmoniously distributed across the plot.
Pear trees, apple trees, mirabelle plum trees, and prune trees can be distinguished by their leaves and colorful labels.
BEEHIVE
As of late summer 2025, our apiary consists of 5 Buckfast hives.
They are thriving, thanks to the sustained and preserved biodiversity on the plot, which provides our beloved bees with a variety of nutrients that support the health of our apiary.
