Les Jardins des Jeunes – How It Works
Les Jardin des Jeunes is a 2,000-square-meter urban microfarm located in the town of Bernex, west of Parc des Evaux and south of Bois des Mouilles.
This plot includes a communal garden, an orchard, beehives, a pond, and all the facilities needed for growing crops and maintaining the grounds.
They are open to all young people in the region ages 12–28. By becoming a member, you’ll enjoy the following benefits:
- Themed gardens designed for organic farming and to teach practices that respect the soil and the environment, such as permaculture, intercropping, and much more.
- the opportunity to get involved in the community through one of the three areas
- a place to share and interact with other young people
- a welcoming space.
You'll find all the details in the JDJ Charter
The 4 steps to becoming a member of the JDJ (for young people ages 18–28):
