This will be our third consecutive year participating in Alternatiba Léman.
This year, the Alternatiba-Léman Festival will feature a series of fascinating lectures and panel discussions at Unimail from Monday, August 31, to September 4, 2026 , followed by the “Village des Alternatives” at Parc des Bastions on Saturday, September 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Come visit us at the JDJ booth in the village—Education and Environment—where we’ll introduce you to exploring biodiversity in 3D.
Another event this year that we will be participating in with great pleasure and dedication for the second year in a row is theSustainability Festival organized by the municipalities of Bernex and Confignon from May 4 to 9, 2026.
In 2025, Taha Myaz, on behalf of the JDJ, and the architect of the St-Mathieu neighborhood in Bernex had set up a workshop there to explore edible and medicinal plants in the St-Mathieu neighborhood of Bernex, which continued all the way to our JDJ vegetable farm. Fun for young and old alike, with delicious recipes and tasty cakes for snack time! On Tuesday evenings, a workshop on repairing wooden objects was offered for visitors to enjoy. Thanks to Billy and Dawson from the JDJ—our awesome volunteers from California.
As part of this year’s Sustainability Festival at the Jardins des Jeunes in Bernex, Michaël Cid, representing the JDJ, will lead the “From Plate to Biodiversity” workshop on Tuesday , May 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
The JDJ will be open to the general public and the whole family starting at 6:00 p.m., and the Biodiversity Festival will feature a screening of an amazing film about biodiversity starting at 8:30 p.m.!
Grab your picnics and get comfortable to enjoy this exciting Swiss film!
Please feel free to contact us for more information, and we look forward to welcoming you to these events and meeting you.
