In this second JDJ bird-watching workshop, I’ll show you how to identify the three main birds of prey found in agricultural areas—based on their wingspan, silhouette, and calls.
In fact, here at JDJ, we are fortunate that our forest is home to several species of birds of prey that we see flying over our garden in search of a mouse, playing or gliding in an incredible dance with the air currents, surrounded by other birds, or calling out for reasons of their own.
We will also compare the rook and the carrion crow, which can sometimes be confused with one another.
This workshop is led by Hélène Carreras, who was trained by BirdLife and has been passionate about ornithology for 30 years!
